How to Access the Being Dimension.
Have you ever felt a deep sense of peace in a moment of complete stillness? That quiet space within is not empty—it's alive. It’s what Eckhart Tolle calls the Being dimension, and it’s always available to us, beneath the noise of the mind.
Eckhart Tolle says, "You are never more essentially, more deeply, yourself than when you are still."
Stillness is the entrance to Being. It means your mind is quiet—there is no voice in the head judging, interpreting, or dwelling on anything. Stillness is being alert and present in the here and now.
When you can access that state, life no longer feels problematic. There are simply challenges, not problems. If you can remain still and present in a moment of challenge, you can consciously choose how to respond. And your response will likely be more intelligent and wiser—because you are connected with Being. You’re no longer at the mercy of conditioned reactions and patterns, which often create more problems than necessary.
You can practice stillness at any time.
First, become aware of the voice in your head—the constant commentary, the thinking. It happens involuntarily, and most of the time, these thoughts are not pleasant. Once you become aware of that inner chatter, you can observe it. Be the witness. Don’t believe every thought in your head—many of them aren’t true and can even be harmful.
When you’re doing something, try to give it your full attention. Don’t think about anything else, not even about finishing the task. Be aware of your movements, your inner body, your surroundings.
Be aware.
Be still.
Try it for yourself:
Pause right now. Take a deep breath. Notice what’s happening around you. Then gently shift your focus inward. Can you feel the stillness beneath the surface of your thoughts?
Let me know what you discover—I’d love to hear how you experience Being. 💫
